Alannah Maxine Cope and Lucy Leigh Nickerson, best friends for over 20 years. Growing up in the UAE, sunglasses were part of everyday life. Alannah was first to build a serious collection of different pieces which turned into prized possessions. This pulled Lucy into the world of different shapes, quality and fit. It grew into a shared obsession, every time they travelled they added to the collection, hours spent searching for bold and unique designs, and spending too much money on frames they just couldn’t walk away from.

But over time, they noticed a gap. Trends moved fast, different shapes disappeared throughout the seasons and quality was often underwhelming. From here the idea of Maxine Leigh was born; an eyewear brand built on timeless design, elevated styling and where every piece had a heavy hand feel that was only achieved through premium craftsmanship.
